Thanks for stopping, I'm Melissa, my love for cooking came from years of watching the women in my life create memories around the kitchen. In 2022, my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia.  It was one of the most painful things to watch her change from the strong woman we once knew to a shell of herself. She spent the majority of my life as the center of all of our gatherings, often unrecognized, her love poured out over every dish she made, every special touch and every memory of our favorites.  In fall of 2024, my grandmother left her earthly home and her body and mind were made whole again.  I look forward to the day that I get to hug her again, eat one of her delicious meals, and hear her laugh.  Blades Bread Shed is inspired by the love that has been shown to me throughout my life by the women that have blessed my life.
In each menu item the secret ingredient is love, and we mean it.
